Obituary Notices and Memorials

MUTH, Sharon Lynn
MUTH, Sharon Lynn Passed away peacefully Nov. 14, 2012, at her home in Palmdale at age 67. Born on April 12, 1945, in Seattle, Wash., Sharon grew up in North Bend, Wash., and Concrete, Wash., where she attended Concrete High School. A resident of the Antelope Valley for nearly 40 years, Sharon worked for the Palmdale School District until her retirement in 1996. After her retirement, she attended Antelope Valley College where she earned her associates degree. She loved to spend the day in her garden, feeding birds, antique shopping, and traveling home to Washington to visit her brother and extended family. She had the ability to grow anything in the desert. She would buy plants from the nursery that were not thriving and take them home to rehabilitate them and give them to friends. Sharon would never turn and give them to friends. Sharon would never turn away a stray animal. She would find them in her travels and take them in and try to find homes for them. She turned her love of animals into a job, often housesitting for friends while they were away. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Virginia Donnelly of Concrete, Wash., and her former husband, Thomas L. Muth. Sharon is survived by her brother, Michael Donnelly (Linda), Birdsview, Wash.; children Thomas Leland Muth Jr. (Natalie), Lancaster, Jeffrey Allen Muth (Tarsila), Guam, Gene Michael Muth (Heather), Canyon Country, and Matthew Tyler Muth (Marisol), Huntington Beach. Sharon adored her 10 grandchildren: Jessica, Adam, Allison, Chelsea, Jonathan, Ryan, Sara, Gabriel, Megan, and Jeremiah. Sharon's children offered thanks to her special friend Gerry Schoenfeld and close friend Doris Volkman for being part of her life for so many years. She was very blessed to have them both part of her daily life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Poppy Reserve/Mojave Desert Interpretive Association, at P.O. Box 1408, Lancaster CA 93584 or
