ANDERSON, Geraldine T. Born December 20, 1941, to Peter and Catherine Riskus. Passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012, after a short battle with cancer. Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Deborah Anderson, daughter-in-law, Sue Handley, grandchildren, Brian (wife, Cheryl) Poteat, and Zachary Poteat, and great-grandchildren, Brent, Zoey, and Logan. Also survived by her sister, Juanita Harrison, brother, Peter (wife, Jean) Riskus, and numerous nephews and nieces. Geraldine worked for the Palmdale School District for many years, starting out as a volunteer and working her way up to a school secretary, where she retired in 2002. Funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, December 7, 2012, at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary, following graveside at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
