PROTHRO, Clarence Corky
PROTHRO, Clarence 'Corky' Passed away at the age of 76 on Nov. 13, 2012. Born in Kansas on Dec. 6, 1935, Corky spent four years in the Navy. A long time resident of the Valley. He was married for 50 years to the late Cornell Prothro 'Snow'. Corky was a avid car lover and master mechanic. He was the owner and operator of Corkys Auto Repair for 40 years, then became a hot rod builder and fabricator. His own customer cars winning numerous awards, which also adorned magazine covers. Corky was a very well respected man in his community and abroad having many friends, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Corky will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by four children Anita, Mike, Carol and Laura and 11 grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, Lancaster. Local Street Rodders are requested to drive their cars in honor of Corky.
