HUTCHISON, Elaine G. A long-time resident of Palmdale, Calif., passed away on Wednesday Oct. 17, 2012, at Antelope Valley Hospital with her children, David Hutchison, Vickie Hutchison and Diane Beck at her bedside. Elaine was born Elaine G. Tompkins on April 18, 1931, in Blackfoot, Idaho, her family later moved to Palo Alto, Calif., where Elaine met and married her husband of 46 years Don Hutchison (passed away Oct. 1997) who was serving in the U.S. Navy. Don and Elaine later moved to Torrance, Calif., and then finally to the Antelope Valley where they raised their three children. Elaine was a long-time member of the Antelope Valley Country Club where she played frequently. She was an active member and many times the president of the AVCC Women's Golf Association. She was an ambassador of women's and junior golf in the Antelope Valley and Southern California. A memorial service will be held at her home on Saturday Nov. 3, 2012, at 11 a.m. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
