RODGERS, Don Robert
RODGERS, Don Robert Born May 22, 1943, in San Francisco, Calif. Passed away Oct. 15, 2012, in San Jose, Calif. Graduated from AV High School in 1961. Attended AV College and graduated from San Jose State University with a BS degree. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1969, serving in Vietnam as a Medical Corman at Chulai, in the 1st Marine Division. He was employed at San Jose Hospital and OConnor Hospital. He was certified in health care in materials management. For the last 20 years he worked at Kaiser Hospital in Materials Management. He enjoyed flying he had a private pilots licence. He flew with the 'Flying Doctors'. He enjoyed tinkering with autos. He was a certified scuba diver. Survived by his wife of 45 years Marilyn, parents Don and Lore Rodgers, siblings Glenn, James and Janett, many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at Our Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church, 42521 W. 20th, Lancaster.
