NELSON, SSgt. David J. USMC Retired Age 49, of Rosamond, Calif., formerly of Maplewood, Minn. Died Oct. 3, 2012, of Stage 4 Lung Cancer. He was Frequency Manager at Edwards Air Force Base. Preceded in death by brother, Michael Nelson; father, Gerald Nelson; and step-son, Sgt. Brian Pedro. Survived by wife Lululima of Rosamond, Calif.; mother, Carol Nelson of Stillwater; brother, Dr. Thomas (Yolanda) Nelson of Duluth; sisters, Teresa Brandt of Denver and Judge Mary (Paul) Hannon of Stillwater; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; also survived by Michael and Jeremy Gallagher. Services and burial were held in Minnesota. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Michael's Church or Wounded Warrior Project. There will be a local Memorial Service at a later date.
