SANDERSON, Thomas Joseph
SANDERSON, Thomas Joseph Born May 28, 1928, in Los Angeles, Calif. Passed away Sept. 30, 2012, at his home in Lancaster, Calif. He grew up in Los Angeles and graduated from UCLA in 1950. He was stationed at the Presido in San Francisco during the Korean War. He has lived in the Antelope Valley since 1987. He was a teacher of History and Music for Los Angeles City Schools, Dept. of Defense Schools in Germany, England and SHAPE Belgium, Desert High School, Antelope Valley College. He was an accomplished instrumental and choral musician. A true man of the world. His musical talent was matched only by his brilliance. A one of a kind gentleman scholar who touched countless lives in his 85 years. Survived by his wife Alice Sanderson, daughter Sylvia Sanderson, son Tomas Sanderson, daughter-in-law Vanessa Sanderson, grandsons Mateus and Lucas Sanderson. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at Valhalla Memorial Park, 10621 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood.
