BUTLER, William Joseph
BUTLER, William Joseph Born Dec. 26, 1938. Passed away Sept. 6, 2012, at USC Hospital, Los Angeles. He grew up in Sioux Falls, S.D., and went to Washington High School. Served our country in the U.S. Air Force. He has lived in the Antelope Valley for 34 years. He enjoyed fishing. He worked on all three Shuttles in the Space Program and on most Air Force Air Craft. B-1, X-31, C1-30 etc. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Beverly Jean Butler, son Thomas Butler (Angela) of Rosamond, Calif., Theresa Esparza (Chris) of Denver, Colo., grandchildren Jessica Jean, Stephanie, Christian, Litriana, Levi, Arianna , five great-grandchildren. Also survived by siblings, David, Ronnie, Cindy and Tim. Preceded in death by his parents William and Irma Butler, son Patrick Butler in 1988. Aside from his closeness to his parents and siblings his service with the Air Force his love and care of his wife, children and grandchildren, William was a great fisherman and cared for many pets throughout his life. His favorite dogs Obie, Chopper (Sheppards) many cockatiels, and is survived by 4 exotic birds who will miss him terribly. 2 African greys, (Tom and Angie), 1 Goffin Cocatoo (Julien) 1 Conure (Baby Girl). Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., with services beginning at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, Lancaster.
