GAA, Gerald George (Jerry)
GAA, Gerald George (Jerry) 72, died Friday, September 7, 2012, at the Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster surrounded by his wife and three children. Born December 9, 1939, and raised in Peoria, Illinois, he was the son of Harold and Eleanor (Wagnaar) Gaa. He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Janet (Eggerichs) Gaa; his brother Ronald and Marcia Pfahl; his son Steven M. and Melissa Gaa; his daughter Michelle Gaa; his daughter Erin M. Aubrey; eleven grandchildren Chris, Scott, Callie, Douglas, Jennifer, Jeremy, Melissa, Johnathan, Joseph, Aspen, and Emerson; eight great- grandchildren and many other relatives and close friends. Jerry attended Woodruff High School in Peoria, Illinois. He joined the U. S. Air Force in 1957. He served all over the world as a hydraulic technician and as a First Sergeant at England AFB in Louisiana. He retired as a Master Sergeant in 1977. After serving with the Air Force, Jerry had a small restaurant in Alexandria, Louisiana. After that he moved to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia working for Lockheed International. He moved to Lancaster, Calif., working in the aerospace industry on the B-1 bomber, the B-2 bomber, and other projects. Jerry enjoyed playing golf with his many buddies. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, Lancaster.
