FAVELA, Catalina Montes Born Dec. 29, 1989, in Lancaster, Calif. Passed away Aug. 22, 2012, in Los Angeles, Calif. Catalina has lived in the Antelope Valley all her life. She is a graduate of Highland High School. She had been employed by Bank of America in the home mortgage department for five years. She loved going to the gym with her brother, shopping, spending time with friends and family, but most of all she loved raising her 3 year old daughter, Malina. She was self-supportive all on her own, strong willed, caring, and she always brought family and friends together. She is survived by her daughter, Malina Herrera, parents, Samuel and Tracy Favela, grandmother, Celerina Favela, brothers, Michael Mortell and Sandy Favela, and sister, Alexandra Favela. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. A visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m., with a rosary at 6 p.m., Thursday, August 30, 2012, at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary with a funeral service at 10 a.m., Friday, August 31, 2012, at St. Marys Catholic Church both in Palmdale.
