MURPHY, William Joseph 'Joe' Born Nov. 2, 1929, in Muncie, Ind. Passed away Aug. 17, 2012, in Lancaster, Calif. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1947 to 1950. Joe has lived in Rosamond for 36 years. He worked for Brunning for 15 years as a business machine technician before starting his own company Valley Reproduction Services, that he owned and operated until his retirement in 1996. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and hiking, and had a passion for classic cars, he designed built and flew radio controlled aircraft. He won the national model airplane championship in 1960 and 1961. Survived by his longtime companion Carol 'Sam' Johnson, daughters Linda (Nolen) Milburn of Lancaster, Calif., Sherri Brown of Rosamond, Calif., six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kristi Tweedt, granddaughter Rochelle Brown and great-grandson Ryan.
