MARTINEZ, Margarita Sotelo Born May 3, 1941, in Oxnard, Calif. She passed away July 5, 2012, at her home in Palmdale, Calif. She graduated from Antelope Valley High School, Lancaster, Calif., in 1959. She was a homemaker and nurse. Margarita loved to help anyone in need, whether it was as an LVN at Henry Mayo Hospital or just being there for anyone to talk to. For everyone she ever met she had a smile and words of wisdom. Cooking was one of her favorite pastimes but being around family and friends was when she was happiest. Her beautiful smile and amazing laughter will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her estranged husband Sylvester D. Martinez children Michael Martinez, Concepcion Martinez, Sylvia (Dado) Lanuza and Rachel (Michael) Myers as well as her 20 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. Services have been held.
