GONZALES, Soledad Passed silently on the evening of May 5, 2012, in Lancaster, Calif. Soledad was born on March 8, 1933, in Chihuahua, Mexico. After marrying her husband in 1955, they moved from Los Angeles, Calif. to Boron, Calif., and then to Lancaster, Calif., in 1963, where she remained for the rest of her life. After becoming a US Citizen in 1970, she worked in a poultry processing plant before finding employment with Rockwell and Boeing in Palmdale, Calif. from where she retired. A doting mother and loving wife, Soledad is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Frank I. Gonzales, Sr. and her daughter Brenda Gonzales of Lancaster, Calif. She leaves behind her son Frank Gonzales Jr, and her daughter-in-law Terri of Lancaster, Calif. Sally, as she liked to be called by her friends, grew up with 5 brothers and 5 sisters and two extended siblings. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Victoria and Paul Amaro of Lancaster, Calif.; and sisters Dolores Campos and Ofelia Martinez both of El Paso, Texas. Soledad had 7 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 12th at Joshua Memorial Park in Lancaster, Calif. A Viewing will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
