MILBURN-STEAD, Sarah Elizabeth
MILBURN-STEAD, Sarah Elizabeth Born on July 19, 1954, to Nolen and Rita Milburn in Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away at her Mojave home on April 23, 2012, due to natural causes. Sarah will long be remembered for her quick wit and sweet smile. Life lead her to many places as a Navy daughter, and Army wife while married to Chris Bartlett, and even as a young divorced woman making her own way. In 1982, life brought her and her husband Raymond Stead the joy of her life and their son Thomas. She was a dedicated Mom and through that love started a home daycare where she touched countless families. Not with just basic care and love, but with wisdom and patient guidance. Besides children, Sarah loved Elvis and to work with her hands. Her 'can-do' spirit served her well through thick and thin. Sarah is survived by her son, 2nd Lt. Thomas Stead of Gulf Breeze, Fla., brothers Nolen (Linda) Milburn, Jeff (Julie) Milburn , sister Cathy (Craig) Chenoweth. Her nieces and nephews, Adam, Laura, Ryan, Devon, Muriah and all of the Antelope Valley. As well as many other Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Special Olympics in her memory as she was a long time supporter. Come celebrate her life with us on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 12 p.m. at the Rosamond First Assembly of God Church, 2881 'C' St. Rosamond, Ca 93560.
