McKEEN, Howard Bruce (aka Mac) Born November 19, 1923, in Torrance, Calif. Passed away February 26, 2012, in Lancaster, Calif. He grew up and went to school in Bisbee, Arizona. He went to Northrup Institute of Technology. He served 3 years as a bomber pilot in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He has lived in the Antelope Valley for 59 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball and camping. His special accomplishments were 1) Decorated Pilot in the U.S. Air Force 2) An accomplished flight test engineer and manager at North American Rockwell from 1950 to 1983. Survived by his son Russell McKeen of Lancaster, Calif., daughter Marsha Houston (Rendel) of Lancaster, Calif., grandchildren Meredith Houston Haberman (Ryan), Kelly Houston Seidenkranz (Patrick) and Craig Houston. Preceded in death by his wife Betty Rose McKeen on July 1, 1989. Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 2, 2012, at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, Lancaster. Arrangements entrusted to Halley-OIsen-Murphy, Lancaster.
