SAATZER, Mary Margaret Feb. 18, 1941 ~ Feb. 18, 2012 Passed away on her 71st birthday due to complications from heart surgery, to repair an aortic aneurysm. Mary was born to William (Arki) McMullan and Mattie Lee Saunders, in the small town of Vaughn, New Mexico. She was part of a large family of six brothers and one sister; all of whom are still living. Mary is survived by her husband of 26 years, Dr. Patrick Saatzer, and her children from a previous marriage, sons Marc and Michael, daughters, Sabrina and Angela. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mary has been the co-owner/ operator of the Lancaster Merle Norman Cosmetics Studio for the last 20 years. Prior to her establishing the Merle Norman store, she worked as an administrative assistant at Rockwell on the B-1 Bomber production and prior to that as a secretary at the Air Force Rocket Propulsion Laboratory, EAFB. An Open Casket viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2012, with rosary at 7 p.m., at Halley-Olsen-Murphy Mortuary in Lancaster. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 25, 2012, at Fr Serra Parish in Lancaster. The interment will immediately follow at the Good Shepherd Cemetery in Quartz Hill.
