YELVERTON, Carl M. Born November 12, 1945, in Bremerton, Wash. He was called home on February 8, 2012, in Hiram, Ga. Carl is survived by his cherished wife, and best friend, Linda Yelverton, his children, Robert, Jennifer and John Yelverton, three sisters, Yvonne, Carnice and Leona, and a brother, Daryl. Also, survived by a great niece, Lani (6 years old) who was his best girl. As well as many nieces and nephews and a lifetime friend of 60 years Dennis Sather. He worked for Lockheed for 32 years. The L-1011 program allowed for him to make friends all over the world. His love for dirt bike racing created many memories for all of his friends and family as well as his many other hobbies such as fishing at Finn and Feather, camping with his family, coaching and being President of American Indian Little League, and he was Vice President of North Georgia Mopar. Carl proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force. His sense of humor and jokes will be remembered by all that met him. Thanks to his kind heart and outgoing personality he was loved by all and will be sorely missed. No one who met him left as a stranger. Viewing will be held from 10 a.m., to 1 p.m., with a Sharing Ceremony at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2012, at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary. A Graveside Service will be immediately to follow at Desert Lawn Memorial in Palmdale. You may sign the condolence book at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary Palmdale.
