SULLIVAN, EUGENE
SULLIVAN, Eugene July 15, 1931 ~ Feb. 7, 2012 Gene Sullivan passed away after a very long illness. He was born in Columbia, Tenn., and raised in Mt. Pleasant, Tenn., where he graduated from Haylong High School. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and later was recalled during the Berlin Wall situation. He has lived in Lancaster since 1955, and initially worked for several Air Craft companies before working and retiring from Edwards Air Force Base. Gene was a member of Grace Chapel in Lancaster. He was active in the Boy Scout program for 45 years and on retirement volunteered at AV Hospital. Gene was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Maggie, sons David (Cathy), Steven (Cheryl), granddaughters Brooke, Kaylae and Mallory. A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, February 13, 2012, at Grace Chapel, 44648 15th St. West, Lancaster, Calif., with Internment at 2 p.m., at Bakersfield National Cemetery, 30338 East Bear Mountain Blvd, Arvin, Calif.
