WHEELER, Dwayne Kenneth Born April 2, 1947, in Texas. Passed away Dec. 15, 2011, at home. He grew up in Texas and served in the U.S. Air Force for 11 years. He has lived in the Antelope Valley for 40 years. Dwayne was a amazing father, husband and friend who would lend a helping hand and shoulder to cry on. He enjoyed fishing, collecting and selling antiques, collecting baseball cards, race car driving and he especially loved watching Sunday night football with his son Anthony Wheeler, as well as the rest of the family. If you knew my dad then you knew the Cowboys were his favorite team. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends that he has made and kept throughout the years. Survived by his former wife Irene Alverez Mesa, sons Dwayne Kenneth Anthony Wheeler, Joel Rodriquez, Isaac Rodriguez, daughters Michelle Cruz, Bernadette Wheeler and Maray Lazcano all of Palmdale, Calif., grandchildren Juan Cruz Jr., Mica Cruz, Adrianna Garner, Alysia Garner, Justina Lazcano, Sammy Lazcano, Angel Lazcano, Evangelinia Lazcano, Elena Wheeler, Aiden Wheeler, great- grandchildren Alassandra Cruz and King Rios. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 29, 2011, at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary, Palmdale.
