MURPHY, Thomas Patrick (Pat) Born Dec. 10, 1941, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Tom and Doris Murphy. Thomas Patrick 'Pat' Murphy passed away on Dec. 5, 2011. A resident of the Antelope Valley for 43 years, he worked for Lockheed Martin's legendary Skunk Works, retiring in 2001, after a successful and storied 40 year career. During that time, he is credited with many key accomplishments on programs spanning the SR-71, U-2, F-117 and the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. Pat enjoyed reading, fishing and hunting. His proudest moment as a hunter came when he bagged a 14-point buck. He received tremendous pleasure watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and taught them all things they will never forget. His love of aerospace and nature are unsurpassed. Married for 52 years, he is survived by his wife Bobbi, three daughters, Kari, Kimber and Beth, 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and his brothers John and Todd Murphy. He will be missed by all who knew him. A memorial service for Pat will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at Halley-Olsen- Murphy, Lancaster.
