SHIVELY, Michael Dean Age 55, died October 16, 2011, at his home in Rosamond, Calif. Born at Craig Field, Selma, Alabama, on January 24, 1956, to Wayne and Violet Shively, he lived in Alabama, England, Kansas, and Scotland prior to moving to California in 1966. Mike attended school on Edwards AFB, graduating from Desert High School in 1974. He worked for the California City Water Department prior to working for the last 21 plus years as an Inspector, Public Works Division for the City of Lancaster. Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife Denise Shively; sister Lyn King; children Danielle Marshall, Alexis Shively, George Gusman, and Melissa Richmeier; grandchildren Madison, R.J., C.J., Draven Michael, Giavonna, Damien Michael, and Jocelyn; nephews Christopher, Clayton, and William King; numerous family members in England, Arizona, Florida, Mississippi, and Ohio; as well as a multitude of friends and co-workers in the Antelope Valley. A remembrance service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 5, 2011, at the Wayside Community Church, 2584 Felsite Avenue, Rosamond, Calif. Arrangements entrusted to Halley-Olsen-Murphy, Lancaster.
