TIBBITTS, Sr., Bill Passed away of lung cancer September 8, 2011. He worked at the Jet Propulsion Lab facilities at Edwards for 44 years. He had a great passion for being a Civilian Volunteer Specialist for the Antelope Valley Sheriff Dept., Search and Rescue Team. He was a humanitarian and hero to many. He is survived by his wife, Andrea, and his children, Bill, Debbie, A.J., Destiny, and Norm, his granddaughters Kortney and Kendall, and new great-grandson. An Irish wake will be held in his honor at 1 p.m., Sunday, October 16, 2011, at the home of Debra Rice, 6202 W. Ave. N, Quartz Hill.
