Obituary Notices and Memorials

HERRE, Paul Francis Was born August 12, 1915, in Walla Walla, Wash. Peacefully passed away at his home in Lancaster, Calif., on September 28, 2011. His family and pets were at his side. We are sure that he is dancing in heaven with Grandma Louise who passed 11 years ago and who was his wife of 63 years. Grandpa loved Grandma, his family, including his children, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his great-great-granddaughter who is due in February, the dogs, the L.A. Angels, Boise State Football, dancing, Marie Callenders pies when they were on sale, scotch, the Lancaster Elks, including an Elks Bloody Mary and fish fry, buttermilk, cookies and coffee in the morning, RVing while wearing his camping hat, the desert air, especially the evenings, the 99 Cent Store, FOX News, ham and lima beans, the TV show Everybody Loves Raymond, the bedroom Babe built for him, and his Drs Moorthy and Houston. A special thank you goes to his grandson, Gilbert Borquez, for putting his life on hold the past few years in order to devotedly care for Grandpas needs. Although this is an extremely painful time for us we know that he is in a better place. Grandpa, although we will miss you every day, we promise to move forward and honor the legacy you have passed on to us. There will be a Memorial Service at 12 noon, Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, at the Lancaster Elks. Also at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, we will have a celebration at our home in Lancaster. We love you, Your loving family
