BUTCHER, Doris May Age 94, was born May 19, 1917, in Kismet, Kansas. She passed away September 3, 2011, in Acampo, California with her family by her side. She was married to her loving husband Charles W. Butcher on October 13, 1937. She had a wonderful marriage farming with her husband in Kansas and Colorado before moving to Lancaster in 1957. Doris enjoyed camping with her husband and with the Good Sams Club for many years. She loved all crafts, especially knitting, making special gifts for each and every member of her family. Doris never forgot a birthday or an anniversary, sending cards to family and friends who were the greatest treasures of her life. Doris leaves a legacy of love. She is survived by her 4 children; Dean (Peggy), Terry (Barbara), Larry (Sandra) and Peggy, grandchildren; Randy, Jeffrey, Kelly and Tracy Butcher; Debbie, Mike and Mark Talsma; Shannon Fagin; Scotty and Jimmy Taylor; Sherry Hoyle; 26 great- grandchildren and 17 great-great- grandchildren. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Butcher, daughter Betty Jane and granddaughter Betty. A private committal will be held at Joshua Memorial Park.
