GAY, Hugh Born April 29, 1925, in Ashland, Okla. Passed away Sept. 22, 2011, in Rosamond, Calif. He grew up and went to school in Oklahoma. Served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Participated in the invasion of Okinawa. He worked for Kern Co. Unified School District for 30 years. Survived by his wife Alta Gay, son Steven Gay of Rosamond, daughter Cheryl Goodman of Irvine, Calif., grandchildren Lee Gay of Rosamond, Calif., Tracy Craig of Rosamond, Calif., Daniel Goodman of Cambridge, Ma., David Goodman of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Laura Goodman of Santa Cruz, Calif. He is preceded in death by his parents Bryan and Eula Gay. Viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, with Services at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, both at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, Lancaster.
