ROLLINS, Roger Lee "Rollie" 91 of Lancaster, California died September 22, 2011, at his home in Lancaster, after a short illness. He was born April 24, 1920, in Holcombe, Wisconsin to Ace and Gertrude Rollins. The World War II veteran graduated from Northrop Institute of Technology. He went on to work for the Federal Government's Rocket Propulsion Program as a test engineer at Edwards Air Force Base during the heyday of the U.S. space program. He retired after 20 years at the air force base. He is survived by his wife Margaret Rollins, daughter Rita Houston, and grandchildren Cory and Caitlin Houston of Santa Clarita, California. No services are pending pursuant to his request.
