KINDIG, BEVERLY
KINDIG, Beverly Born in Hastings, Neb., Dec. 30, 1922. Passed away Sept. 10, 2011, in Lancaster. Bev grew up on a farm near Hastings where she attended local school, then entered the University of Nebraska, graduating in 1944. She taught English at Northwest Bible College in Minneapolis, Minn., then decided on a career as a physical therapist, trained at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. Moving to California in mid 1950s and settling in Buena Park, Bev was employed by L.A. County at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehab Center in Downey, obtaining her Masters in physical therapy from USC during that time. Upon retiring she moved to Lancaster and worked for the Visiting Nurses Association. She loved horses and dogs. Survived by her brother Paul 'Stan' Kindig and wife Sharon, of Lancaster, brother Eugene Kindig of Mt. Laurel, N.J., numerous nieces and nephews. A family celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
