SWART, Howard Malcolm Born Oct. 30, 1937, in Los Angeles, Calif. Passed away Sept. 13, 2011, in Lancaster, Calif. He grew up in the Los Angeles area. Served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960. He has lived in the Antelope Valley for 33 years, where he was a Municipal Court Judge from 1988 to 1999, Deputy District Attorney from 1988 to 1972, District Attorney Investigator from 1969 to 1972, L.A. County Sheriff from 1961 to 1968. His hobbies included reading, learning new languages and spending time with family. Survived by his wife of 43 years Jean Swart, son H. Michael Swart (Rachel) of Tucson, Ariz., daughters Kelli Swart Mount (Darrell) of Lancaster, Calif., Kristin Crees (Bobby) of Palmdale, Calif., grandchildren Alexandra Parrott, Ryan Parrott, Andrew Swart, Grace Crees, Emma Crees, Katie Crees, and brother Carter Swart. Preceded in death by his parents Howard C. Swart and Katherine Swart, sister Karen Lambert. Memorial Service to be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at Lancaster United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be sent to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, If you plan on attending the memorial please RSVP to Arrangements entrusted to Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, Lancaster.
