LaBERTEAUX, Richard W. Sr. Born March 20, 1921, in Chicago, Ill. Passed away August 22, 2011, in Lancaster, Calif. He served in the Navy during World War II. He has lived in the Antelope Valley for 10 years. Richard was an artist and worked for Disney Studios after World War II, then became a civil engineer and worked for NASA and Sears. He retired in 1972. He is survived by his 4 children, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild on the way. He is preceded in death by his wife Virginia in 2007, they were married 61 years. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at Halley- Olsen-Murphy, Lancaster.
