BENES, Edward W. Sr. Born May 1, 1928, in New York, New York. Passed away August 24, 2011, in Palmdale, Calif. He grew up in New York, served his country in the Marines and has lived in the Antelope Valley for 15 years. He was a journalist for the New York Daily News and enjoyed reading, writing and sports. Survived by his sons Edward Jr. (Mary), of Yonkers, N.Y., John Phillip of Littlerock, Calif., daughter Diane (Ralph) of Leona Valley, Calif., grandchildren Julieann and Edward III, also by many loving nieces and nephews.
