WEAVER, MARGIE GAIL EVANS
WEAVER, Margie Gail Evans Age 64, passed away due to natural causes, in her home, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011. Born on Mothers day, May 11, 1947, on her family farm in East Lancaster to father, Ardys Evans and mother, Ethyl Jean Worden Evans. She was married to her best friend and love of her life, Blair M. Weaver, at Roosevelt Community Church, in Lancaster, on June 11, 1966. They lived in Florida, Ontario Canada and Granada Hills, California before returning to the Antelope Valley in 1975. In 1977, the Weaver Family purchased their home in Quartz Hill, Calif. Margie enjoyed working as a teachers assistant at Quartz Hill Elementary School for over twenty years, where she made a profound difference in many children's lives. She also worked at the Polling Places. Margie enjoyed spending time with her family more then anything else. Her hobbies included her dogs, gardening, home improvements, camping and boating. Margie was also a huge NASCAR fan. Margie is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Blair Weaver of Quartz Hill, Calif., her eldest daughter Jennifer Weaver (Petrie), her son Geoff Weaver Sr. and his wife Kathryn, her youngest daughter Janelle Weaver, and her grandchildren Geoffrey Jr., Braden, Grace, Cassandra and Adrianna. A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, August 27, 2011, at Roosevelt Community Church, (Ave. I and 60th St. East). There will be an open house/reception at the families home after the service. Please call (916) 233-8501 with any questions. In lieu of flowers the family is suggesting a charitable contribution to Richard Pettys Victory Junction Camp.
