SHERWOOD, Glen Arthur Born Oct. 28, 1923, in Portland, Oregon to Ralph M. and Hattie (Adams) Sherwood. Went home to be with His Lord peacefully on Aug. 15, 2011, at his Lancaster residence. Glen was a member of the Army Air Corp., serving 2 1/2 years in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a resident of the Antelope Valley for over 41 years. He was a member of IBEW and retired from the Aircraft Industry after 29 years of service. Glen was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose 1926, American Legion Post 311, and Lancaster Elks Lodge #1625. He was preceded in death by his first wife Ann Johnson Sherwood, his brother Claude, his son and daughter-in-law Kenneth and Anne Johnson and grandson Steve Johnson. Loving survivors include his wife of 23 years Narice (Nikki) Sherwood, brother Dale (Donna) Vanderzanden, daughters Marilyn (Steve) Kish, Kathryn Swallow and Susan (Brad) Churchill, grandsons Dan (Jane) Johnson and Mike Johnson and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Viewing will be held at 10 a.m., with Services beginning at 11 a.m., Friday, August 26, 2011, both at Halley-Olsen- Murphy, Lancaster. There will also be a Memorial at 1 p.m., Friday, at Lancaster Moose 1926. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ProCare Hospice or Lancaster Moose 1926. Glen was entrusted to the care of Halley-Olsen-Murphy, Lancaster, Calif.
