BASTINE, Dr. Raleigh Born May 16, 1944, in Houston, Texas, where he grew up. Passed away Aug. 6, 2011, in Lancaster, Calif. Raleigh held a B.S. in Music Education, a Masters in Educational Administration and a Ph.D. in Education. He cherished his membership in both Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and American Guild of Organist. Raleigh will be remembered for sharing his abundant musical talent; he was a consummate pianist, organist and vocalist. Survived by his son Gerald, grandson Amir both of Palmdale, and a host of relatives, friends and co-workers. Preceded in death by his parents Volly Sr. and Lillian, twin brother Volly Jr. and brother Dwight. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., with services beginning at 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 15, 2011, both at Crenshaw UMC 3740 Don Felipe, Los Angeles, CA 90008.
