PELOTT, LEON
PELOTT, Leon Was born on February 18, 1937, in Pelham, Massachusetts to Owen and Lea Pelott, the third child of 6 boys and 1 girl. When he was 19 he moved to Burbank, California and soon married his first wife Nettie and had a daughter, Carol Ann. After their divorce he later married Lois Ann and had his second daughter Lea Robin. The family relocated to Acton, California in 1974, to enjoy the country life. Lee loved the small town and became very involved in the community, helping to form the Acton Rangers, and the Volunteer Fire Department, he was an active member of the town counsel and helped to expand the club house and build the Acton Rangers Arena. The familys 'Our World Ranch' logo is still proudly displayed on the arena of this community he and others worked so hard to build. Leon worked at Weber Aircraft as the Superintendent of Production Control on airliner projects, the Apollo space project and on pilot ejection seats which he helped to test, literally slammed up against a wall! He retired from Weber after 25 years but Lee never stopped working. He was always willing to lend a helpful hand and had been working with his good friends Rod and Joyce Bruce on their dream of opening the 4 Points Swap Meet. Lee sold his 'Used Tools' from opening day until his unexpected death at his home on Thursday, July 28, 2011. For three decades and with his companion doggie 'Duncan' by his side, he made many swap meet friends. Leon is survived by his ex-wife Lois, his two daughters, Carol Ann and Lea Robin, 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. In loving memory, The Leon Pelott Family A gathering in his memory will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, August 13, 2011, at the Palmdale Moose Lodge 3101 E Avenue Q , Palmdale, CA 93550.
