NEHL, Michael (Mickey) R. Mickey Nehl was born Sept. 1, 1940, in Bismarck, N.D. He served 2 years in the National Guard before his family relocated to Oxnard, Calif. Mickey met his wife Margie in Wishek, N.D., and they were married in 1965, in Port Hueneme, Calif. In 1971, Mickey's family settled on a ranch in Rosamond, Calif. Mickey worked as a fence contractor for over 40 years and built his own company; 'NEHL FENCE'. He was a member of St. Mary's Parrish, the Moose Lodge, VFW and the NRA. He loved gatherings with family and friends and watching his grandkids play baseball and softball. He also enjoyed riding and roping, hunting, and off road riding. Mickey passed away in Pahrump, Nev., on July 15, 2011, and will be laid to rest at St. Michael's Cemetery in Watauga, S.D., on July 26, 2011. He is survived by his 3 children: Michelle Nehl Epps (Scott), Lori Ann Nehl Pryor (Brian) and Michael S. Nehl, grandchildren: Ryan, Nicole, Tori, Joe and Starla, brothers: John and James., sisters: Ann Marie, Sherrie, Linda and Jean. Preceded in death by his wife Margie, parents Ralph and Dorothy and brother Richard.
