GESIRIECH, Delores Jean (Crowell) Longtime Lancaster resident Delores Jean Gesiriech passed away July 4, 2011, at the age of 83, in Burbank, Calif., with her family by her side. Jean was a city girl born Dec. 14, 1927, in Denver, Colorado. While in high school she proudly sold U.S. War Bonds during World War II. The youngest of two daughters, Jean moved to California at the age of 19. She bought a horse, which she loved dearly, joined a square dancing club, and worked at U.S. Motors in the San Fernando Valley where she met her husband Florian 'Gus' Gesiriech. Jean and Gus were married in 1953, and later traveled the world while Gus worked for Lockheed. Jean raised three children while living in the many far away places that she had always wanted to see, and even learned to speak German fluently. In 1971, the family settled in Lancaster, Calif. Jean is preceded in death by her husband Florian; and grandson Patrick Carr. She is survived by her daughters Rebeka Carr (Steven) and Heidi Gesiriech (Scott Lawson); son Paul Gesiriech (Jenny); grandchildren Dulce Jung, and Jaimie and Gianpaul Gesiriech. Jean will live forever in the hearts of her family and those who loved her. Memorial Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Leona Valley Community Bldg., 8367 Elizabeth Lake Rd., Leona Valley, Calif.
