ELY, John Craig Born August 2, 1955. Passed away July 9, 2011. He was 55. John is survived by his mother Ramona Ely of Lancaster, his 3 children, son John Ely of Lancaster, daughters Jackie Ely and Julie Hines of Apple Valley, sisters, Karen Saranita, Kerry Calvert and Beth Roberts, brothers, Dennis and Matt Ely and 6 grandchildren. John was a long time resident of the Antelope Valley, graduating from Antelope Valley High School in 1974. He later studied and became a certified welder. He loved to laugh and enjoyed a good book. He was preceded to Heaven by his father John Ely, brothers Tom and John Patrick. A celebration of John's life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, July 16, 2011.
