PORTERFIELD, Greg Born May 25, 1945, in Farmington, New Mexico. Passed away June 27, 2011, in Lancaster, Calif. He grew up in Gallup, N.M. He has lived in the Antelope Valley since 1968. He was a teacher with the Antelope Valley Union High School District from 1968, until he retired in 2006. He is preceded in death by his parents, James C. Porterfield in 1987, Estella Palmer-Porterfield in 2007, and by his sister, Barbara Porterfield-Connolly in 2002. Survived by his daughters Terri Cooper of Moreno Valley, Calif., Peggy Fletcher of Lancaster, Calif., nephew Sean Connolly of Palmdale, Calif., grandchildren, Aaron Bronstein, Kevin Bronstein, Mark Fletcher, Jackie Cooper and Justin Cooper, and his grand-nephew Sean Gregory Connolly. With respect to his wishes, no services were held. Cremation respectfully handled by Halley-Olsen-Murphy, Lancaster.
