HEMSATH, Mrs. Linda K. Born December 27, 1940, to Albert Hugh Grinsted Jr., and Jayne Catherine (Kems) Grinsted in Evanston, Illinois. After gracing us with her warmth and kindness our beloved Linda passed on June 21, 2011. She is now reunited with our Lord Jesus Christ, her parents Albert and June Grinsted and Donald E. and Jayne Hanson. She married Galort Dee Hemsath on June 9, 1961, in Lincoln, Neb., and what ensued was a union that blossomed into fifty loving years of marriage. Together they celebrated raising three children, Lyngay Marie, Brandt Dee, and Deelyn Kathleen. Linda is also survived by sisters Allyson J. Cotton of Oceanside, Calif., and Gayle E. Grinsted-Lawyer of Grand Terrace, Calif.; brothers Donald E. Hansen Jr., of Tucson, Ariz., Robert L. Hansen of Oceanside, Calif., and Albert H. Grinsted III of Shalimar, Fla., and five grandchildren Jason M. and Jaslyn M. Hemsath, and Haven L., Austin C., and Savanah G. Krichbaum. Linda became a High School English teacher in 1962, in Lincoln, Neb. Linda also taught in New Jersey and Ohio before moving to the Antelope Valley in 1996 to teach at AVHS until retirement in 2004. She was a true visionary leader in education and touched the lives of many of her students. She was fortunate to find a career that was not just a job, but something she truly enjoyed doing. Viewing will be held from 3 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Memorial services celebrating her life will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2011, both at Halley-Olsen- Murphy located at 44802 N. Date Ave, Lancaster, Calif. Her final resting place will be at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Lincoln, Neb.
