JOHNSON, NOLA
JOHNSON, Nola Born January 2, 1922, in Dabney, Arkansas to Luther and Mary Ann Pack. Entered into rest June 15, 2011, in San Jose, Calif., from complications after a bout with pneumonia. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 5 sisters (including her twin sister, Nova Mauldin), grandson Richard Johnson and her husband of 56 years, Carl Johnson. Nola was raised in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma and lived in the Antelope Valley for 58 years. After Carls death in 1999, she moved to San Jose, Calif., but a part of her always missed the desert. She is survived by her brother Ray Pack, daughter Linda Duty (George), sons Joe and Jerry Johnson, 6 grandchildren, 8 great- grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be greatly missed, not only by her family and friends, but also by many extended family members she connected with over the internet. She had a keen sense of humor and sharp mind, even up until the day before her death. She had been looking forward to leaving the hospital so that she could get home and answer all her e-mails. Viewing will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m., with Services beginning at 11:30 a.m., both on Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, Lancaster, Calif.
