CLARK, MILES MEADOWS
CLARK, Miles Meadows Born Oct. 30, 1917, in Hobart, Okla. Passed away June 13, 2011, in Upland, Calif. He is survived by his children, Margie Nelson, Durwood Clark, Ronald Clark, Linda Clark, M. Evelyn McElfresh, 12 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. Mr. Clark will be greatly missed for his sense of humor, love of stamps, hard work ethic, gardening, love of family and Country, and most of all, his example to simply lead a Christian life.He was involved in church activities and the community. God gave us a great gift in our father! As a young man Mr. Clark enlisted in the CCC effort and worked in various locations in the southwest. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Clark gained employment and retired from McDonnell Douglas (Boeing). He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, M. Geneva (Murphy) Clark, and son, Donald Clark. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2011, at the Palmdale First Baptist Church, 1051 E. Palmdale Blvd., Palmdale, CA 93550, burial to follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, Palmdale, Calif. Chapel of the Valley Mortuary, Palmdale. www.chapelofthevalleymortuary.com
