VOLTA, Angela Born March 24, 1937, in Santiago, Chile. Passed away May 27, 2011, in Lancaster, Calif. She has lived in the Antelope Valley since 1970. Angela Volta lost both her parents at the age of 12. She raised her one and only brother. Angela came to the AV with her husband Luis. She was determined to make a successful and meaningful life for her and her family here in the USA. She taught herself to read, write and speak English. After time, she started her own day-care center in 1980. She loved each and every one of her day-care children as her own grandchildren. Their parents became her children. Angela proved to all her children and grandchildren that anything in life is possible through hard work, passion, determination, and a good heart. Survived by her husband Luis Volta, sons Sergio of Santiago, Chile, Walter of California, Gino of Santa Clarita, Calif., daughter Sandra of Lancaster, Calif., daughter-in-laws Sofia of Santiago, Chile, Marie of Santa Clarita, Calif., Gladis of Lancaster, Calif., son-in-law Marco of Lancaster, Calif., grandchildren, Christian, Vanessa, Franceka, Aionino, Devion, Tiffany and Sean. Viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Halley-Olsen-Murphy, Lancaster. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 10, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. There will be a reception following services at 1 p.m., at the UAV Grand ballroom, 44055 N. Sierra Hwy, Lancaster, CA 93534. You will truly be missed. Thank you for all the sacrifices you made for all of us.
