PITCHER, Richard (Rick) Allan Born August 16, 1952, in Riverside, Calif., passed on to his next chapter of adventures on June 1, 2011, while battling cancer. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Donna Bridges Pitcher; son, Matthew; daughter-in-law, Amber; brother-in-law, Todd Bridges; along with the sunshine of his life, his granddaughter Alycia. Additional surviving family include his parents, John Sr. and Shirley; brothers John Jr., Brian, Jerry; sisters Loretta Scott, Brenda; and many special uncles and aunts. Ricks life of adventures included 35 years as an ace aircraft mechanic at Lockheed and Northrop. He was constantly broadening his horizons by learning photography, restoring cars, windsurfing, ATC riding, piano playing, besides building a house, becoming a pilot, and building his own airplane. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Christ Our Savior Methodist Church, 5027 W. Ave M, Quartz Hill, Calif. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations for college for granddaughter Alycia, or plants for a home memorial garden.
