FINDLEY, Ronald Edward Passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2011, at home in Rosamond. He was born on October 18, 1946, in Exeter, Calif., to Shelby and Helen Findley. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Janet; mother Helen of California; children Kathy (Jim) of Texas, Kim of California, and Teresa (Eddie) of Texas; stepchildren Kenny (Cindy), Terry (Sookie), and Tammy (Ruben), all of California; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, his brother Jerry (Linda) and sister Debbie (Jim), of California. He was preceded in death by his father Shelby and step-son, Lee. Ron served four years in the Air Force. After his honorable discharge, he worked as a firefighter at Edwards AFB for 31 years, retiring in 2001. After retirement, Ron continued to work as a part-time firefighter at Mojave Airport until 2011. Ron and Janet enjoyed traveling the country, camping, and fishing. Viewing will be held at 10 a.m., followed by Services at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 19, 2011, at the First Baptist Church of Rosamond, 2787 20th St. West. Graveside services to follow at Lancaster Cemetery. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
