MCCOMB, John H. 'Mac' Born December 13, 1917. Passed away December 4, 2009. After 32 years he retired as Master Sergeant from California Army National Guard, also from Civil Service. Lived in Palmdale for 25 years, worked at the National Guard Armory then Wells Fargo Bank. He was active in Palmdale Radio Club, Fin & Feather Club, Moose Lodge 507 and the local Council of the Blind. He is survived by his wife, Lois, of Bunker, Mo., son Richard (Dianna) McComb, daughters Sue (Raul) Granby and Sherry McComb, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also step-children Monica (Randy) Gavney and Mike Suffridge and 2 grandchildren. Services with military honors will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Riverside National Cemetery.
