MATHIAS, Florence Ann Born August 22, 1927, in New Bedford, Mass. Passed away May 8, 2011, at AV Heath Care. She has been a resident of Lancaster for 12 years. She enjoyed watching TV mostly the cooking channel, crossword puzzles, and going out to eat. She was a member of VFW Rosamond Lady Auxiliary. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by Adam Mello, her daughter Barbara Holt (Frank) of Colorado Springs, Colo., son Robert Mathias (Lori) of Palmdale, Calif., step- daughter Lina Mello of Napa, Calif., 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Mathias, mother Virginia Costa and father John Peters.
