AVANTS, JULIANN
AVANTS, Juliann Julie entered the world to fanfare on January 1, 1941, as one half of the first twins born in Los Angeles, California for that new year. She left the world in the wee hours of the morning on April 29, 2011, at the age of 70, to even greater fanfare in reunion with her Lord. Although she succumbed to the effects of Alzheimer's Disease, she was amazingly congenial and cheerful throughout the long years of decline. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Avants. Their marriage of over 30 years was a strong foundation for their 3 children Terry Avants, Tammie Holladay and Deby Candelaria, 8 grandchildren Tiffany, Jeremiah, Joshua, Jessica, Allyson, Elyse, Aaron, Alexis and Zachary and 2 great-grandchildren Noah and Lilly. Julie is also survived by her older sister Sondra and her twin sister Judy. Julie worked for the Pacific Bell Telephone Company for close to thirty years, where she excelled as a manager. Most recently, she worked for Antelope Valley Christian School, where she is remembered fondly. Julie leaves a legacy of faithfulness to the Lord, generosity and devotion. Her characteristic cheerfulness, compassion and encouragement will live in the recollections of those who knew her. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 7, 2011, at the Lancaster First Assembly of God Church, 44514 20th Street West, Lancaster, Calif., in Room 104.
