MARTINEZ, CHARLES HENRY
MARTINEZ, Charles Henry Born August 9, 1921, in Roxbury, Mass. Passed away April 1, 2011, in Lancaster, Calif. Graduated in 1953 from Rensselaer Polytech. Served in the Navy as Lt. JG, and was a pilot during World War II. He was a noted rocket scientist and worked for Halliburton, Rockwell, NASA and the Aerospace Corporation. He was an avid animal advocate. He is preceded in death by his first wife Lorraine to whom he was married 53 years. Survived by their children, Candace Martinez (Warren Brown) of Fremont, Calif., and Dawn (Daniel) Martinez-Byrne of Quartz Hill, Calif., also survived by his second wife Isabelle Buchanan Martinez to whom he has been married for 12 years. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 8, 2011, at Father Junipero Serra in Quartz Hill. Arrangements entrusted to Mumaw Funeral Home.
