Obituary Notices and Memorials

CLEVER, Paula Joyce With broken hearts our beloved wife, mother and grandmother left us on March 16, 2011, with her loving family by her side. She was born March 9, 1928, in South Pasadena, Calif., the only child of Harold and Daisy Coe. She attended Stanford University of Nursing receiving her Bachelors in 1950. She married her husband and soul mate Bud in 1951, and together with son Scott and daughter Lynda they moved to Palmdale in 1956, where she helped Bud establish a successful Dental practice. She was an active member of the community where she belonged to many service organizations and served on the A.V. College Board of Trustees from 1973 to 1985. She loved cooking and collecting cookbooks, playing the piano and creating artwork. As an avid reader and book lover she never lost her thirst for knowledge. In the 41 years she was given to share with her 'Buddy' they traveled to many places around the world, but her favorite place to be was at home taking care of her family. We will miss her sense of humor and loving ways and will carry her in our hearts forever. She is survived by her daughter, Lynda, grandchildren, Jefferson Scott and Suzannah Denise, great-grandchildren, Paige, Jefferson, Jr., and Jacob. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bud and son, Scott. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, March 28, 2011, at Desert Lawn Memorial Park. You may e-mail your condolences to Chapel of the Valley Mortuary, Palmdale.
