EVANS, Ronald H. Age 89, was born in McKinney, Texas, November 20, 1921. Passed away on March 4, 2011, after a long illness. Ron joined the Civilian Conservation Corps, then served in the Army Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1946. He moved to the Antelope Valley in 1954, became a cabinet maker and a general contractor. In 1956, he also owned his own cabinet making and construction business and worked in the real estate field with Nita Deeter Reality. He became an active member of Elks Lodge in 1970. Ron married his first wife Sara Lee Hornsberger in 1943, and had three boys, one who died a sudden crib death during first year of life. Surviving are Randy and Ryan, two grandchildren, Kylee and Austin. Ron is also survived by his wife of 42 years Carolyn L. Evans of Rosamond, California. He was preceded in death by his parents Isac Orbrey Godwin Evans and William W. Evans, one sister Melba A. Tallant, five brothers Arny, Bennie, Willard, Don, and Bill. Ron was Catholic and no services were requested. Mr. Evans was cared for by Hoffman Hospice during the last months of life. My heart felt thanks to all that attended him in a loving way, and also Mrs. Evans.
